Dragracing championship in Estonia 2013

Sorry to write in English, my Finnish not so good, sadly.

Just thought to put up a topic here about the events, perhaps someone wants to join the races, since last years Estonian champion in former class F (renamed as "ProBike" from this season) is a Finnish guy Petri Koivuniemi on his GSXR1000 and competing also this season - came into 2nd at championship first stage last weekend on 15th June.

Briefly the Estonian motorcycle drag classes:
1. StreetBike - all ordinary factory road bikes and also roadracing prepared bikes. Most important restrictions: no extended wheelbase allowed, bike has to have VIN number on (facory made) frame, no overcharging allowed (nitrous, turbo, supercharges - all restricted), special drag tyres not allowed (roadracing slicks are ok!).
2. ProBike - basically almost "outlaw" so almost everything allowed if meets technical requirements for bike & rider safety.

Hi,

its roughly 10,0 and slower for Streetbike

Finns have done high 8-s in ProBike (formerly F class) in some previous years here, local guys low to mid 9 at their best so far, hopefully gets a bit faster this year. All "pro bikes" that we have here are actually extended (on some occasions also charged - nos or turbo) street or roadracing bikes.

How about wheelie bars bikes, can those take a part probike class?

Hi, wheeliebars are allowed in probike class if you have balls to ride these bikes on non prepped strip (old airfield with almost no clue and uneven (a bit bumpy) track.

I dont recall anyone ever ran wheeliebar bike in Estonia, would be great to see one, though

Thank you Juha Tuomari and Petri Koivuniemi for coming to our championships previous event, and congrats Petri for another podium result

We have another race coming this Saturday (27th of July) in Pärnu airfield, it is a nightrace - meaning, the final runs will take place when already dark outside - its a pretty cool race.
